Bow to the emperor
The president was recently/still is in china trying to strengthen our relationship. But as I was looking at yahoo news I saw an article showing the president bowing to the Japanese emperor. I didn’t think anything of it for a couple minutes until I realized that his gesture is suggesting that Japan is better than the United States of America. To there was no reason to bow to him a simple handshake would be suitable. I can see why Obama bowed since he was trying to strengthen the relationship between the two counties and showing respect. But he had no right to make the united state seem weaker. When I kept reading I saw that this wasn’t the first time a president had done a gesture to make United State seem weaker, Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon both bowed to different people. I could be completely wrong but there is no reason to make USA weaker. There are other ways to make two countries equal, which to me is just as strong as saying one country is better than the other without the disrespect.

pros and cons of woodview commons.
Currently I am living on campus at wood view commons. I decided to live there for one reason and one reason only I only had to write 1 check a month for all my bills. This apartment complex has several benefits. They have a pool for the residents to use, also a basketball/volleyball court. For a big gathering you have an option of renting out the club house under restrictions. The thing that can’t be beat is parking. I didn’t have to worry about the parking issue at the beginning of the year and have to walk 1 min or 2 to class. All this may sound great for a person’s 1st apartment but to me there are way too many cons to live here next year again.
First off ICC is a Dry campus. Which means Woodview Commons is to, you can over 21 and you still have cannot have alcohol in your apartment. If you get caught with any you can get evicted and heavenly fined. I can semi get why this rule is in effect but they go as far as to say no alcohol related items, which to me is bull crap. What is a shot glass that you might have gotten on vacation going to hurt?
Alcohol isn’t the only thing that you can’t have in your apartment weapons are also not allowed. Of course I completely agree of guns and knives being banned. But they included little stuff. You can’t have a simple small pocket knife in a draw of your bed room, in my case I can’t have my paintball gun in my closet. I get some people would be an idiot and think it is fun to use the weapons unwisely. But because of those type of people, I have to go an hour out of my way to pick up my paintball gun to play every weekend. Not only does that add more money to play and less time to play it.
When I went to move- in day they told everyone that if you get caught with anything your roommates can also get in trouble along with you. To me this is bull crap. I don’t want to get in trouble if my roommate decides to have a pocket knife in his room. There is really no way to prove that you didn’t know they had it, so you might get fined also.
Being a dry campus the resident advisors are required to do checks of the apartment if they suspect a party. My apartment has been reported to have a party and RA’s and cops have shown up at our door. To me this is bull crap both times this has happened there was only 1 guy home and he was on the computer doing absolutely nothing. It makes me wonder if they just chose random apartments to search so they can find reason to make more money. They also go as far as to limit the number of guest you can have in your apartment. This makes you have a feeling that being younger asking you parent if you could have just one more friend over.
